Requesting the LED Lighting Facts label from your suppliers is the first step in confirming performance values. Unfortunately, not all labels are legitimate LED Lighting Facts labels. You should never assume that all labels presented by suppliers are accurate. Always use the program website, www.lightingfacts.com/default.aspx?products to verify whether:

• Items are registered with the program
• Performance values provided match values listed with the program

The new policy revoking the partnership status of manufacturers who do not submit products for approval went into effect June 16, 2010. Thus, some suppliers will no longer be LED Lighting Facts partners, making your efforts to verify all labels even more important.
